Monica leads the wine side, and Jerome leads the whiskey side. Together they bring credentialed, well-traveled expertise to every Cork & Copper event, the reason a Cork & Copper tasting feels different from a solo-host experience.

Monica Brockmann

Hi, I’m Monica, co-founder of Cork and Copper alongside Jerome Lodovisi. We started this Indianapolis-based wine and whiskey events company to bring people together over great pours, good conversation, and a little adventure through our signature experiences.

I hold my WSET Level 1 Award in Wines and am currently working toward Level 2, with Level 3 on the horizon. When I’m not tasting wine, I’m probably writing for my travel and food blog, Tasted & Traveled, or planning my next trip.

By day, I’ve built my career in consulting, so I’m right at home in front of a room. I love bringing that same warmth and energy to every tasting we host.

A few fun facts

  • Mom to one college sophomore and two very spoiled dogs. 

  • My go-to wines are a French Pinot Noir or a White Sancerre

  • My go-to whiskey is Four Roses Small Batch Select or Jefferson’s Ocean. 

  • When I’m not working on Cork and Copper, you’ll usually find me at the gym, walking the trails around Zionsville or dreaming up my next adventure.

Jerome Lodovisi

Hi, I’m Jerome, co-founder of Cork and Copper alongside Monica Brockmann. We started this Indianapolis-based wine and whiskey events company to bring people together over great pours, good conversation, and a little adventure through our signature experiences.

Whiskey has been a passion of mine for over 15 years. Whether it’s driving south to Louisville, shopping my local spirit stores, or traveling to Scotland, I love learning new stories and the resulting bottles that accompany them. I am currently a Stave and Thief Executive Bourbon Steward candidate.

I am also a technology professional and consultant who has worked with small businesses, nonprofits, and enterprises. Client experience has driven my work and career. I can’t wait to share my travels, experiences, and expertise with others to make their wine and whiskey experience memorable and ever-evolving.

  • Husband to my amazing spouse, Lydia

  • Dog Dad to Kevin and Murphy

  • My go-to wine is Cabernet Sauvignon or a Rosé on a hot day

  • My go-to whiskey is Bib & Tucker - The Classic Six or Old Forrester 1910. 

  • When I’m not working on Cork and Copper, you’ll usually find me grilling and cooking, running on the Monon, riding my motorcycle, or traveling with my wife and friends.
